My love of theatre and musicals started at a young age when I first joined my local dance school. From there, I moved onto the local youth theatre and was involved in many plays and musicals throughout the years.
I’ve always been creative and even to this day make models of shows I have seen, recreating the set designs in miniature.
In my last year at school, I got involved in our school show of ‘Joseph ‘ and I took on the role of stage manager and I never looked back!
From school I moved to university studying Technical and Production Arts and was crew for various shows, from pantomimes, musicals and even several operas. I specialised in theatre design and stage management and have continued in those roles ever since I left university.
I’ve been part of several drama groups, even setting my own company up. Usually, I was in the role of manager and designer, but I’ve also thrown my hand to writing, directing and eventually I moved back to performing onstage, once as a dancing cupcake in the fabulous Priscilla Queen of The Desert.
As a former president and member of the Magic Circle, I’ve hosted and took part in many magical shows, bringing magic to many cabaret shows (which were obviously themed!)
When I’m not visiting my local theatres or taking listeners on a weekly musical themed journey, you can often find me online with my husband in our double drag act cabaret shows. (And yes, they are also themed!)
