Murray grew up attending youth theatre from 2011 til 2019. During this time he took part in several productions including Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, as well as 7 Professional Pantos. He left school at 16 and began studying drama where he graduated from Queen Margaret Univeristy with a BA Hons in Drama, Theatre and Performance.

He currently works at his old Youth Theatre as a Senior Drama Practitioner leading drama and theatre workshops as well as directing shows. In his spare time he gets involved with his local theatre group in Renfrewshire taking part in productions with some of his favourite parts being Lord Farquadd (Shrek The Musical) and Danny (Calendar Girls).
