Hello! I am Harrison, Box Office Radio’s youngest presenter, at 18! I am very enthusiastic about all thing’s theatre, having just taken A level courses in Drama and Theatre Studies, Film Studies and Photography. I love performing and it is my dream to become an actor on the stages of the West End and across the UK! There was no one thing that got me into theatre, but instead a variety of different milestones that made my love grow. I realised how much I loved creating, devising, and performing pieces and it really made me appreciate how incredible the theatre is. I remember watching Peter Pan Goes Wrong when it was broadcast on the BBC One at Christmas, which made me fall in love with my favourite theatre company, Mischief Theatre. Aside from theatre and performing, I love all things Christmas, with my hobbies include script-writing, film-making, cross-stitching, cooking, and watching film and TV (favourites films including Inception, La La Land and Shaun of the Dead, but I’m always binge watching some sitcom too!).
In training, roles I have played include Edmund in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Algernon Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest, Fat Sam and Knuckles in Bugsy Malone, Winston Smith in 1984 and The Maniac in Accidental Death of an Anarchist. My most recent role saw my amateur theatre debut playing Bobchinsky in The Government Inspector at the Loft Theatre in Royal Leamington Spa, where I made some incredible friends and memories. As a keen script-writer, I have written plays called Killer at the Kelpies (a comedic farce murder mystery), I’ll Have What He’s Having (a prequel to the song ‘Copacabana’ by Barry Manilow) and I’m currently in the process of developing and adapting different scripts!
I will be playing some of my favourite songs and sharing my love of theatre during The Afternoon Show, every Friday from 3pm-6pm. Not only will I be joined by some fabulous celebrity guests, but each week, I award Horsley’s Hotshot to someone inspirational from the world of Musical Theatre, I will bring you Box Office Radio’s famous mini matinee, as well as other features including Connect 4, The Daily Dose of Disney and The Musical Mix Up.
