Hello! I am Harrison, Box Office Radio’s youngest presenter, at 19!
I am very enthusiastic about all thing’s theatre, having taken A level courses in Drama and Theatre Studies, Film Studies and Photography and currently training in Musical Theatre at LMA. I love performing and it is my dream to become an actor on the stages of the West End and across the UK! There was no one thing that got me into theatre, but instead a variety of different milestones that made my love grow. I realised how much I loved creating, devising, and performing pieces and it really made me appreciate how incredible the theatre is. I remember watching Peter Pan Goes Wrong when it was broadcast on the BBC One at Christmas, which made me fall in love with my favourite theatre company, Mischief Theatre. However, Beetlejuice the Musical and Hamilton were the shows that got me into musical theatre particularly! Aside from theatre and performing, I love all things Christmas, with my hobbies include script-writing, scrap-booking, cross-stitching, cooking, and watching film & TV (you can see my favourites below, but I’m always binge watching some sitcom too!).
In training, I have played roles including Edmund in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Algernon Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest, Fat Sam and Knuckles in Bugsy Malone, Winston Smith in 1984 and The Maniac in Accidental Death of an Anarchist. My most recent roles have been at the Loft Theatre in Royal Leamington Spa, where I have played Bobchinsky in The Government Inspector, Ensemble in Glorious, and Tony Burtoft in Up N Under. As a keen script-writer, I have written plays called Killer at the Kelpies (a comedic and farcical murder mystery), I’ll Have What He’s Having (a prequel to the song ‘Copacabana’ by Barry Manilow) and I’m currently in the process of developing and adapting different scripts!
I will be playing some of my favourite songs and sharing my love of theatre during In the Spotlight, every Saturday from 10am-12pm. Not only will I be joined by some fabulous celebrity guests, but each week, I award Horsley’s Hotshot to someone inspirational from the world of Musical Theatre, we will play a game of connect 4, and hear from this weeks competitors of West End Wimbledon! (In a Beetlejuice voice…) It’s Showtime!
