The Wonderful World Of Musicals

With Adrian & Fizz (Scroll Down to Listen Again) Join us on Tuesday evenings at 6pm for two hours of The Wonderful World Of Musicals, where we look into the story behind your favourite shows. Every week we have a good rummage in the Box Office Radio archives and play three songs from a forgotten or little known show in a segment we call our 'Hidden Wonder'. We'll also have […]

Adrian trained in Stage Management at the Central School of Speech and Drama, then worked with The Royal Ballet at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, at the Palace Theatre Cambridge Circus, and in repertory theatres around the country  before moving into television in 1983.

After a number of years at BBC Television Centre working on a huge number of Light Entertainment shows like Les Dawson, Jasper Carrott, Top Of The Pops and many more, and sitcoms including ‘Only Fools and Horses’, ‘Just Good Friends’ and ‘Deare John’ (amongst others) he went freelance. WHile at London Weekend Television he was part of the small team who made the original series of ‘Gladiators’, which has recently seen a revival on the BBC.

A large variety of productions followed over the next 3 decades, working all over the world on many productions, including ‘Australian Survivor’ which meant spending 6 months in Australia and Samoa. He retired from TV recently having made ‘Michael McIntyre’s Big Show’ at Drury Lane, ‘The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals’ and ‘The Goes Wrong Show’.

Adrian and Fizz are thrilled to be part of the Box Office Radio family of presenters.

Join them every Tuesday evening at 6pm for The Wonderful World Of Musicals!
