The Musical Lunchbox (Monday)

With Bex Band CONTACT THE SHOW: studio@boxofficeradio.co.uk

Hi, I’m Bex Band. I live and breathe musical theatre, it fills every aspect of my life. I’m training to become a triple threat at LMA, Liverpool. Once I’ve earned my degree, I hope to work on cruise ships as a performer and travel the world! Being entertaining, and making people smile is so important to me. When life gets tough, I believe there’s no better cure than the escapism of being immersed in a musical.

I’ve been in many amateur dramatic productions and played some great roles, including: the Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mother Superior in Sister Act, Rizzo in Grease, Velma in Chicago, O’Dreary in Bugsy Malone and Mrs Sheinkopf and various ensemble in School of Rock the Musical.

I’m hugely passionate about live music so I love to go to shows whenever I can, whether that’s theatre, gigs or concerts. I’m also a ‘bunhead’ – completely ballet obsessed! I’ve danced since I was 3, but only took up classical dance training when I was 10 and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s the best way I can express myself and forget about all of my stresses and worries.

I host the musical lunchbox from 12pm-2pm every Monday. I have an eclectic music taste, so there will always be a variety in each show, but it will always be fun and light- hearted to shake off the Monday blues!
