Becky Jones

Becky was born in North Wales, moved to the Peak District and now lives in Kent. Becky’s day job is in social value and sustainability – trying to help organisations be more socially and environmentally conscious and responsible. Listening and engaging with people and trying to bring about effective change.

For as long as she can remember, Becky has been obsessed with music – especially pop, indie and disco – but her main love is musical theatre. Becky goes to the West End as often as she can to experience the wonder of the live shows. The history, talent and sheer brilliance of the performances, often makes Becky cry with joy!

She loves being totally enveloped in the shows and the escapism they give, the questions that they ask. The way they challenge society is something with which Becky really loves engaging.

My favourite musicals are: Cabaret and Les Misérables.

My favourite musical movies are: Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Bugsy Malone.

My favourite performers are: Dame Julie Andrews, Dame Angela Lansbury, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Charlie Stemp.

First musical I saw: Cats.

My favourite theatre is: The London Palladium.
