RVT – SOFTWARE UPDATE

A new and update version of the RVT (remote voice track) software has been released and all presenters are required to update their settings. Copy and paste the correct link into your bowser to download the update. Any Qs just shout.

Note: Remote VT on Mac OS is not officially supported.

1. Unzip the .app file to the Applications folder

2. Open Terminal and enter the following commands…

xattr -drs com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SPLRemoteVT611.app/

3. Close Terminal. Holding the Control key, click the .app file, and select Open then Run or Allow. This is only required once and then double-click will open in future.

Once updated please check the following settings.

You are recording on MP3 format and not OGG

Open your recording device and click options.

Check your audio settings are the same as these below.

Volume fade at anywhere between -8 and -10
Mic volume at approx.. 90%
Channel – Left/right mono
Bit rate – to at least 192kbs (higher if possible)
