Hey! I’m Robbie and I come from Teesside in the North East of England and am both a blogger and an aspiring actor.
From a young age I took a huge interest in performing, taking part in school productions and local shows whenever I could. I would even perform short shows for my mum and grandparents in the living room every Sunday night… Lucky them!
Academically I have studied the arts at Secondary school, College and now I am studying Musical Theatre at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting. Both pursuing my passion and learning great amounts about the industry at the same time! What could be better than that?
I have been fortunate enough to work on a number of amateur productions, and work with fantastic practitioners throughout my training – and most recently I was lucky enough to be asked to played a small part in a short film with ‘Sweetdoh films’
Alongside ‘Box office Radio’ and my academic studies, I run my own Theatre related blog named ‘Robbie’s Backstage Bants’ and through this I have interviewed some of the West Ends biggest stars and frequently I am invited to review and share my thoughts on new productions. Building this small page from the Covid-19 pandemic right through to now has been an incredible journey and has even led to me producing my own virtual concerts and creating a space where I can share my love for Theatre! Which is exactly what I intend to do here on Box Office Radio!
