During these challenging times when theatres are closed and all amateur productions are postponed, Box Office Radio is continuing to reach out to musical theatre fans.

At Box Office Radio, we are delighted to announce that have teamed up with NODA (The National Operatic and Dramatic Association) to produce a weekly radio show that is dedicated to amateur theatre.

Each week the new show ‘Centre Stage’ will take a look at what’s happening in and around the amateur scene across the UK, with special guests, interviews, new show music and a focus on topics such as auditions, casting and technical matters.

The show will be hosted by Tammy Brooks who herself is part of an amateur theatre group and is a huge fan of all thing’s musical theatre. Tammy was chosen as the host of the new show after the station launched a nationwide search to find new presenters for the weekly 2-hour slot.

Station Owner Josh Haywood said “As the only national radio programme devoted to amateur theatre, our aim is to involve as many groups from across the UK as we can. The amateur theatre industry is responsible for producing and performing over 30,000 shows each year, and its important that there is a place for them to be heard. That’s what Box Office Radio is all about.”

Tell us about your up coming shows and producions and we'll feature them on the show.
