Drew Baxter

Drew has been a fan of theatre and film, especially musicals, since he was a child…which is a period now lost in the mists of time, a bit like Brigadoon!

From school plays to a professional production of Sweeney Todd, his intermittent appearances on stage have brought him great joy but attending theatre or listening to theatre and film music, are equally important parts of his life. He enjoys sharing this passion on The Classic Collection.

Raised on a diet of the great film musicals of the golden age, he nonetheless loves some modern musicals too. It is not unknown for him to be found frequenting West End and regional theatres, enjoying new work or a great revival of a classic show.

Drew’s broadcasting heroes are David Jacobs and Desmond Carrington, so that might give you a clue as to the type of show you’ll hear, if you tune in…when you tune in.

The Classic Collection with Drew Baxter. Wednesday 8pm.
