The Hawth panto - MORE casting news for Sleeping Beauty 2023


Following the announcement that Carrie Hope Fletcher will be appearing in The Hawth production of Sleeping Beauty this Christmas, the Crawley theatre is delighted to share more exciting pantomime casting. News that CBeebies favourite, ANDY DAY will take on the role of the loveable Jangles is sure to delight the thousands of families who attend The Hawth’s festive treat every year.

As a presenter and actor Andy has been part of CBeebies for many years and has fronted his own BAFTA-nominated series, Andy's Wild Adventures as well as Andy's Dinosaur Adventures, Andy's Prehistoric Adventures, Andy's Safari Adventures, Andy's Aquatic Adventures and most recently Andy's Global Adventures. These series have all been massive hits with children and parents alike and he has also starred in Andy's Secret Hideout and Andy's Baby Animals, as well as his latest show for the BBC, Andy and the Band, which has proved hugely popular on CBBC, CBeebies and iPlayer.

Andy is no stranger to pantomime and has appeared for many years in CBeebies' annual televised pantomime, playing such colourful roles as Ebeneezer Scrooge in 2013's A Christmas Carol, Captain Hook in 2014's Peter Pan, the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland and also starred in the 2016 version of The Nutcracker.

When not presenting for CBeebies, Andy also stars in his own fantastic family show, Andy's Dino Raps, which is full of interactive fun and catchy raps about everyone's favourite dinosaurs.
